Dale Wenton Griffin (Hair Bear), 64, of Cedarville, MI was born to Betty (Poquette) Griffin and Wenton Griffin on the 4mile block of Cedarville, MI.  Dale was a Tassier-Griffin which made him related to almost half of Cedarville which made it pretty hard to find a date, so he danced with his cousins, aunts, and his friends’ moms.  Dale was kind and had a wonderful heart.  After high school Dale traveled with numerous friends out west, but mostly with his cousin Clyde until he found himself back home with family.  Dale held many jobs.  He worked at F.D.S. in the 1980’s and early 90’s until he found his niche with Kenny Contracting where he retired after 25 years to begin the fight of his life with cancer which he sadly lost.  During his life Dale loved being outdoors, hunting, ice fishing, and camping in tents.  Dale did anything he could to spend time with his family. Drinking and getting firewood was a family affair referred to as Bears Fall workout.  Dale married Melodie Bryant February 14, 1994 celebrating 25 wonderful years together.  He was a devoted husband, father, and uncle who was held in deepest regards by his children.  Dale is survived by his wife of 25 years Melodie; his daughters #1 Linda (Donny) Cantrell, #2 Shantelle (Teddy) Gough, #3 Michelle (Josh) Fultz, and #4 Heather (Mike) Perkins; grandchildren Kody, Keely, Colton, Michael, Jacob, Kassidy, Meadow, Tessa, and Little Jo and great grand daughters Keera and Makenna.  Dale is also survived by his siblings Barb (Roger) Davarn and Ernie (Annie) Griffin; nieces and nephews Marie, Amanda, Jennifer, Courtney, Dale, Erica, and Greg; and his nephew David Shawn Griffin who he loved like his son after the death of his brother Joe Mama.  Waiting for Dale are Betty, Wenton, Nettie, Joe Mama, Diane, Linda, Brad (Buck), and Birdie.  Celebration of life for Dale will be held Saturday August 31, 2019 from 10:00am until 2:00pm at 270 W. Kromiller Rd.  All are welcome.  Condolences may be sent to: Melodie Griffin 270 Kromiller Rd. Cedarville, MI 49719.  Online condolences may be left at www.clarkbaileynewhouse.com

I want to express my deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Dale Griffin. As a very close friend of his niece, Courtney Griffin, and a friend of his brother Ernie Griffin, I am truly saddened to hear this news. Although I did not know him personally, I do know that he will be greatly missed. And as Courtney's friend, I just want the whole family and his friends to know that you will all be in my thoughts and prayers in this difficult and trying time. May God bring some peace to your hearts.
