Heaven gained another Angel. Trudy Jane Ranta, 63, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI., passed away Monday morning, May 27, 2019 at Hospice Home of E.U.P.

She was born to Wilhart "Wee" Ranta and Jane Wood Ranta, on May 22, 1956
in Sault Ste. Marie, MI..
Trudy grew up in the Sault and graduated from Sault High School with the Class of 1974. Trudy went to the Cosmetology School of Green Bay, WI. and earned her license.  She became the owner of several salons in the Sault. Fondly known by her close friends as: "Trudy, The Soo Beauty."
Trudy loved having fun, with her many friends in the Soo and in Brimley,
on it's beaches and water. Loved her many fun adventurous trips in the
USA and on cruises with friends, also.
She was preceded in death by her dearly beloved parents.
She is survived by her son, Garrett A. Griffin and her
precious & beautiful granddaughter, Meeah.
Sister's, Susan (John) Russo of Edina, MN. Beth Ranta Carlson of
Escanaba, MI. Brother, John (Linda) Ranta of Brimley, MI and several
beloved nieces and nephews. Trudy was also blessed with many close/dear
friends. Patti, Janet, Anna, Donn, Gen, Joyce, Mike, Tracy and Karen, to 
name just a few.  No services will be held.  Donations in Memory of Trudy Jane Ranta, may be directed to: Hospice of the E.U.P. 308 W 12th Ave Sault Ste. Marie, MI.  Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home of the Sault, is assisting the family.

To Ranta Family,
I am so sorry to hear the death of Trudy. She always had a smile and live life to the fullest. The Soo will miss her smile and upbeat personalty.

Dear Garrett, You don't know me and that is not important. I went to school with your Mom, and also had the privilege of knowing her in the Sault Community. She was taken too soon, yes. But she is peaceful now and looking down on you and your daughter. She was a strong and beautiful woman...inside and out. Stay strong Garrett.
