Dennis Albert Nolan, 70, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Hospice House of the EUP. Dennis was born October 14, 1948 to June (McCoy) and Albert (Chub) Nolan of Sugar Island. Because Dennis was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada but lived on Sugar Island, he held dual citizenship to U.S. and Canada until the age of 18 years. Dennis served his country proudly in the U.S. Army as a point man in Vietnam (1970-1971) receiving a Purple Heart Medal.  Dennis had a deep love and pride for his family and country.

Dennis is survived by his son Dennis Albert Nolan, Jr (Colleen Fisher), granddaughter Catherine Ann and Dennis Albert, III, all of Vonore, TN, sisters Beverly (Mark) Eavou of Sault Ste Marie, MI, Anita McKerchie of Sault Ste Marie, MI, Carol (Alvin) Eavou, of Brimley, MI, brothers John (Grace) of Lake Arrowhead, CA, Ernest (Carol) of Brighton, MI, and Willard of Sault Ste Marie, MI. Dennis was preceded in death by his father Albert (Chub), mother June, brother Kevin, sisters-in-law Wanda Nolan and Lisa Nolan. Dennis is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held beginning at 2pm, Monday, November 19, 2018 at Niigaanagiizhik Building with prayers at 7:30pm, and funeral services will be held at 10am, Tuesday, November 20, 2018 with Brother John Hascall officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in honor of Dennis to the Hospice House of the EUP. Final resting place will be in Oaklawn Chapel Gardens.  Online condolences may be left at www.clarkbaileynewhouse.com
