Donald L. Rader, Sr. of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away Tuesday October 30, 2018 at War Memorial Hospital.  Don was born March 23, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Ralph and Charlotte Rader.  He enjoyed woodworking, working on his lawn, sailing, hockey watching the freighters thru the locks, camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Don is survived by his wife the former Alice Alcorn whom he married June 14, 1958 at Holy Rosary Church in Flint, Michigan;  2 sons Don (Lynn) Rader of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and Michael Rader of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan;  a daughter Tina (Bill) Borrow of Alabama;  a sister Donna (Ric) Andrews; a brother Dennis (Kyong) Stebbins; grandchildren Shannon (Luke) Savoie, Ashley (Kyle) Corry, Matt (Cory) Rader, Nicole (Chance) Kirk and Jack Rader;  great grandchildren Emelia, Grayson, Emeric, Arthur, Owen, Annabelle, Flynn and Gracie;  also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held 2:00pm until 6:00pm Monday November 5, 2018 at Clark Bailey        Newhouse Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held 6:00pm Monday November 5, 2018 at Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home with Deacon Bill Piche officiating.  Donations to the Road to Recovery would be appreciated.  Online condolences may be left at www.clarkbaileynewhouse.com.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I loved seeing Don come into the office, with his big smile and impish eyes!
He was always a bright spot in my day, thanks and good bye Don.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. It was a pleasure to ride the van to Petoskey with your family and know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Don will be missed.
