Paula Ann Massolin of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Monday January 9, 2017 at War Memorial Hospital.  Paula was born May 12, 1951 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan the daughter of Paul and Florence Johnston.  She loved watching the Detroit Red Wings and NCIS.  She enjoyed playing rummy and her Yahtzee game.  The most important things to her where her spending time with her family and friends that she loved dearly. Paula loved and enjoyed her dog Zoe.
Paula is survived by her daughters Karlie (John) Laitinen and Kerrie (Bridget Andrews) Massolin;  a brother Michael (Louri) Johnston;  grandson John Laitinen, V and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her good friend Pat Ames.  She is predeceased by her parents Paul Johnston in 1999 and Florence Johnston in 2005 and her sister Vickie Pertle in 2003.
A gathering for family and friends will be held 5:00pm until 8:00pm Friday January 13, 2016 at Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home.  Entombment will be in Oaklawn Chapel Gardens.  Memorials in memory of Paula may be left to her daughters Karlie Laitinen or Kerrie Massolin.  Online condolences may be left at www.clarkbaileynewhouse.com.

My deepest sympathy go out to Paula's family. I knew her for especially when she worked at Nevilles . Paula was a wonderful lady that was always in a good mood and always made you.

Thinking of you girls at this difficult time. Know that your mom loved you and devoted her every waking minute to seeing that she met your needs. Not only did she care for you, but for the many children at Washington School. She was loud, funny, kind and fair! She will be missed by many!
