My teacher in 1982: he would sit on top of his desk, hands tucked under his legs and eye cocked as he taught. One day a fellow student got up and mimicked him. Next thing we knew, here was Mr. Mosca standing in the doorway & watching this kid imitate him. Rudy crossed his arms and stood watching as the kid (Garth Ware, LOL) was oblivious to the fact that he was being watched. Garth thought we were laughing at his performance, so he kept going on & on... and all the while, Rudy had this grin on his face. Finally, Rudy entered the room and said, "Ware!!!" as he grabbed him by the neck. Needless to say, the entire class was in an uproar. When I had him for driver ed a few years later we laughed about that incident. I remember him teaching about electricity: he brought this machine in, and everyone stood in a big circle and held hands as Mr. Mosca slowly cranked the handle and electricity moved from one person to the next. Eventually, of course, he cranked the handle SUPER FAST and we all got shocked... but we instantly understood the concept of galvanic current!!! Through the years I saw him now & then: he always looked the same, and never seemed to age. I've never known anyone to be as in as good as shape as he was. The world was a better place with him in it; I am privileged to have known him. Baamapii, Mr. Mosca~

My condolences to the family of Rudy Mosca. It is with respect and appreciation that I recall him well as my driver education instructor and assistant football coach while a student at Sault High School in the late 1950's. I graduated in 1961. He will be remembered well as an excellent teacher. Sincerely, Blair E. Coutant

So sorry to read about Mr. Mosca's passing. Last winter we sat next to him and his grandson at a Soo High basketball game. We did a lot of catching up. Over the years we would find Rudy and Nancy on old roads looking for berries or just enjoying God's creation. He was a dear man..... Keith and Coralie Jacobson

Those of us who were privileged to work with Rudy in the Sault Schools had a great respect for him. He was a role model for many of us who were younger than he. I never heard a word from any other staff member that was less than positive...his passing is a loss to our community.
