OBITUARY

Pauline J, Mauris of Cedar Street, Sault Ste. Marie, MI went to her Lord on May 25, 2009 at war Memorial Hospital. She was born to Henry and Mary Jankowski on June 19, 1919 in Hamtramck Michigan. Pauline is survived by her husband of 54 years, Russell J. Mauris. They were blessed with 6 children: Thomas, Anthony (Anna), Michael (Ruth), Mary, Judy Glaser, Stephen (Suzanne). She is also survived by grandchildren: Michael Badger, Kristi (Ryan) Madigan, Jason Mauris, Charles Mauris, Ryan and Adam Glaser, Samantha and Julie Mauris, Alexander, Emily, and Andrew Mauris. Great grandchildren: Felicity Madigan, Haden Thompson, and Dominic Nalette. She is also survived by one sister, Dolores Finley of Warren Michigan as well as many nieces and nephews in the greater Detroit Area. . She was always a teacher, either to her students at the Sault Area Public Schools, the Night School Students, or her family. She enjoyed knitting, baking: bread for sure, her rose garden, traveling, as well as her grandchildren. She could get any one of them to do anything for their own bowl of her rice pudding! Pauline received her B, S. and her Masters in Chemistry from the University of Detroit. She was a faithful member of St. Mary''s Pro Cathedral in Sault Ste, Marie. Visitation will be on Friday May 29, 2009 from 2 -- 4 & 6 - 8, with prayers at 7:00pm at Clark Bailey Newhouse Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will at St. Mary''s Pro Cathedral on Saturday May 30, 2009 at 11:30 am with Fr. Sebastian Kavumkal as celebrant. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery on Monday June 1, 2009 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, Memorials can be made to either St. Mary''s Church or St. Mary''s Catholic School in Pauline''s honor.
